J.P. Belmar's art has evolved from her life experiences. Her in-depth exposure to a vast variety of art forms, including dance, has influenced her unique and beloved style. By mixing mediums, and incorporating reused, older materials such as pieces of old pillow covers and decorative parts of old shirts, Belmar brings a true sense of real life to her work. As a result, a level of empathy is communicated through the art experience.
Most of the originals available are framed, mixed media pieces, however, occasionally other types of work will become available such as a mosaic pot or mirror. J.P. Belmar can’t resist giving into her creative impulses, regardless of what kind of medium the impulse requires.
